SINGLE CASKS
Every now and then, within Aberfeldy’s extensive cask inventory, Stephanie discovers an oak
cask so flavoursome and brimming with distillery character that she deems the whisky to be
relinquished as a single cask. Rare and unique, the single casks are selected for their finesse
and remarkable qualities.

DOUBLE–CASKS
Also known as ‘finishing’, the term ‘double–cask’ refers to the use of more than one cask in
the maturation process. These secondary casks, usually ex–wine casks such as port or sherry,
impart some of the original flavours to the whisky, complementing the distillery character
and adding a further layer of complexity.

SMALL BATCH
These limited releases are a combination of a small number of casks; a collection of
extremely rare and ultra–premium aged whisky available in limited runs, hand–picked
by Stephanie Macleod.

Single casks provide the opportunity for you to taste a snapshot of that distillery from a
particular moment in time. Like snowflakes, they are truly one of a kind and once they’ve
gone; meaning the owner has the chance to taste something truly exceptional and limited.
